I have noticed a few people recently looking for more information and pictures. The best way to learn about Irish Wade [which has a very interesting history both in terms of the products made and the people who produced them] is to buy the book advertised on this site, as we have done. It's an easy read and very informative. What's more its well written and accurate in terms of both content and detail. There are a lot of great pictures to round out the story. Regards Des Breen Australia

We have a collection of over 300 pieces including 12-15 large musical beer mugs.
Our special finds have been 4 of the series of cameo portraits of victorian ladies.
Because there have been many earthquakes in new Zealand over the past 2 years we have most of our collection safely packed at the present time.
It is nice to see photos on this site.

I have been looking for some old Irish cups with hunting scenes, and also one that had a music box in the bottom. It played "when Irish eyes are smiling..."

I just learned the brand name of these items. So glad to have found this website!

I too have a Wade Irish Porcelain teapot- a good sized family favourite that sadly had it's spout badly chipped last year- I've combed the net trying to find a replacement, and this is the first site I've seen that even mentions it.

Please tell me more! I can't remember whether I purchased it in Ireland or possibl in Halifax-

Hi, just leaving a message to say thank you for the book it is a really informative. I have a large collection of Irish Wade and it has helped me a great deal, it has enabled me to put names to many of the pieces that I have. My favourites are the Borsey Celtic pieces, as well as the Raindrop, the Duck Posy Bowl and many many more! I hope to find out more about some of the other pieces that I have so I will continue to read your books. Thank you

I love wade porcelain!! I have Poteen Jug, that is beautiful and would like to know more about it. Maybe one of you knows something about it and would share the information with me. Like when it was made or howmany were made and what other colors there are. And I have a question about the book.. does it have a picture and information about these jugs?
Thank you in advance, Christine
