100k hits on the site.
There is obviously a hugh interest in Irish Wade.
We are delighted with the response to the site and look forward to the future plans of a permanent display of Irsh Wade in Portadown. We also at this time remember all those who worked in the factory of Wade Ireland.
Thanks to everyone who have contributed to the site by sending photographs, signing the guestbook and supporting us. Special thanks to our major funders the Hertitage Lottery Fund who financialy supported our Wade project from its beginning.

Hello again all. Still collecting Wade with mixed results, don't get out and about a-hunting much these days. Found Ebay which has been useful cum interesting, but some buyers on Ebay have much deeper pockets than mine! Still managed to acquire (at last) a medium sized, rather squat teardrop teapot and matching hot water jug, and one of those delightful 'tired out donkey' vases. Plus found a zillion mugs and big steins, two of which even play music. Sorry, still can't see the fascination in Whimsies - there are so many of them available - can anyone explain to me their fascination? There always seems to be hundreds on Ebay... Interestingly most of the larger Wade pieces I've acquired lately all seem to have the same slightly sad 'history' - "It was my Gran's..." Hope the family don't eventually regret letting Gran's Wade go, but they have found a good home with me in the interim. Also surprised to see so many entries from Australia in the guest book, perhaps we should set up a sub-section down-under....?

YES WE ARE HOPING TO SET UP A WADE SOCIETY DOWN UNDER - AUSTRALIAN FRIIENDS OF WADE IRELAND

I worked in wade/seagoe creamics for 9yrs up until it closed in 2002. I met and worked with some truly great characters! We had a great laugh! Sadly Some of those characters have since passed away:
RIP Norman Mc Call (The Real-Man!).
P.S
Anyone remember The Leaving Night Out in the Carngrove Hotel?

I was so glad to see this site. I had been looking for Wade porcelain for the last 15 yrs. I gave up. We used to get it in a little shop in Solvang, CA. They haven't carried it in about that long. Now I know why. I have a teapot and many children's items given to me by my mother for my children. She is no longer living.

Thanks for solving our dilemma. Sad to know that the factory is no longer. I'll treasure our pieces even more.
